I’m not an Malmsteen expert at all but I just love his playing. I’m not 100% sure if this is originally even legato hammer ons and pull offs, but to me it sounds like it.
Recently I was working on something and I started to hear this lick in my head. Damn cool thing with those repeating notes. Not sure if I ever even tried to learn this solo but it’s quite memorable. Some of his best songs / albums (Odyssey) too. Anyways here’s how I play the lick and what I like to do with it.
