Playing through the NEW Fillmore™ 50 for the first time, Andy Timmons talks us through how he gets the sounds he used on the performance of his song, “Welcome Home”. He also plays some other sounds not used during the song, and offers his first impressions of the amp after having played the amp for an hour or so while starting to get to know it. Andy also goes through the various effects he’s using for each part of the song as well as a comparison between his Signature JHS AT pedal into the clean channel versus the HI Mode in the Fillmore, and adding a BB Pre to the HI mode to hear what hitting the input of the Fillmore a little harder can sound like. Great conversation discussing just some of the possibilities with the new Fillmore 50 in the framework of Andy’s great playing and songwriting.
Recorded with Andy’ signature Ibanez AT-100 with DiMarzio Cruiser neck and middle pickups and a Dimarzio AT-1 bridge pickup, through his pedalboard and into the Fillmore 50 1×12 combo. Pedals used during this song were a Strymon Timeline Delay, Strymon Big Sky Reverb, Diamond Tremelo and a GNI Chorus. No other pedals were used during the performance. Mic’d with a Shure KSM 313 and a Shure SM57 and blended 50% each.
