In this month’s lesson, Kirk Fletcher goes over a track from his 2020 album, My Blues Pathway, called “Ain’t No Cure for the Downhearted.” This song is definitely blues with a twist, as he incorporates elements of soul/R&B, in terms of the groove, feel and rhythm guitar parts. “Ain’t No Cure” is
a great example of how Kirk likes to combine elements from various musical styles that have influenced him together in an original composition.
