For nearly four decades Jim “Kimo” West has been “Weird Al” Yankovic’s lead guitarist, but he also has a mesmerizing acoustic side that helped win him a Grammy Award (for his solo album, More Guitar Stories).

Jim shares that brilliant finger-style side in this video, in which he (being someone who spends as much time in Hawaii and playing Hawaiian music as he possibly can) demonstrates many of his favorite Hawaiian guitar V-I and II-V-I.
