Proud to introduce you to a new JTC series “Jam With”. This should really spark your playing and get you into musical phrasing. It’s about trading phrases. I play 4 bars, you play 4 bars, I play 4 bars, you play 4 bars…you got! Keep your ears open while jamming, answer me with your improvised phrases. Or you can learn my phrases and repeat them. Trust me: It’s a very different to jam like this than just playing with yourself over a backing track!

There are easy very calm down phrases here, in fact that was my motivation, keep it melodic and musical. Ofcourse by the end of the tunes things usually get more wild, more out there and perhaps shreddy too. Filled with all sort of techniques and approaches to playing, this should keep you motivated!!!

I composed 5 new tunes for this package.

Palma Driver 1984 (D and C Dorian)
Rush in Africa 1983 (F# Lydian and A Mixolydian)
Beach at Night 1985 (G Minor and C# Lydian Dominant)

We’ll go through various moods, keys, modes, tempos and grooves. The tunes are very enjoyable to play with. It was very inspirig for me to do the lead guitar parts.

Thomas Törnroos played the live drums in these tunes. Other than that it’s all me Mika. Luca Mantovanelli played those “you” parts in this video to demonstrate what you can do. Fine job Luca, i respect this moment!

Played with my Cracking Frog, Ruokangas Guitar. Used my custom pedal board and ofcourse Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister Deluxe 40 amp.

I’m pretty sure several of these will be part of future Mr. Fastfinger album too. This was my june summer job, hope you get a chance to try the jams!!!
