Chick told me that this song, “Eternal Child”, came to him in a dream. He said he had to get up and write it down immediately. When we recorded this song I had the great joy of playing this soulful and haunting melody. Playing this song live we often started it with a 5 minute duet interplay on the theme and changes. We did this together many nights, on many stages, and each time and every time it was dream-like. Chick was truly the Eternal Child in life and in music. I felt this to be the perfect tribute song to play for him. Chick truly understood what it is I do on guitar. This made playing with him all the more special. There is so much I am grateful for to this gentle genius whom I love very much. For me, music speaks louder than words ever could and it is with that sentiment that I offer this video.
