HYBRID VEHICLE, PART 3
One of Andy Timmons’ favorite pick-hand articulation techniques is hybrid picking, which combines flatpicking with fingerpicking, either together or in a quickly alternating fashion. When a series of notes is played with just the pick, most often the sound is very uniform. This is, of course, something that is generally desirable and, in fact, needs to be practiced diligently in order to execute flat- picking with precision and consistency.
