Last time, Guitar World’s Senior Music Editor, Jimmy Brown, talked about a widely used triplet-based meter, 12/8. In this lesson, he introduces and similarly compares two other widely used triplet-like meters — 3/4 and 6/8 — and looks at examples of song styles, grooves and tempos where one meter may be preferable.
